Hi folks 👋 — welcome to our farm!

We’re Nicola and Colin, the founders of Blue Goat Lavender Farm. We moved to Canada from Ireland in 2014 with our three kids and have been building our life here ever since.

Farming wasn’t always on our bingo card. For years we talked about eventually moving somewhere rural and living a slower, more sustainable lifestyle when we retired. But during COVID, when both of our jobs became remote, we realised we didn’t have to wait to make that dream a reality.

In 2021 we purchased a piece of land in beautiful Norfolk County with the goal of developing a small, sustainable farm. Growing lavender had long been a dream of Nicola’s after spending time in the South of France and falling in love with the stunning lavender fields there. Since we both adore goats, adding a herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats alongside our lavender fields felt like the easiest decision in the world.

Today, Blue Goat Lavender Farm is our family project — a place where people can slow down, enjoy nature, and experience a little bit of the calm that lavender brings.

We’re open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from June through September. Although we love animals, we do ask that you leave your dogs at home to protect our free ranging hens. Guide dogs are always welcome.

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm!
